My name is Sarah Teran and I am from Tucson, Arizona. I am a junior at CDO High school, but will be graduating with the class of ’08. I am very interested in photography and composition. Ansel Adams’ photographs all convey what I think is exceptional art; he inspires me to go out focus on the priceless things in life, nature. In addition to photography, I enjoy other arts like dancing, poetry, drawing, painting, and music. I believe that any way you can express yourself and show what you are about is a beautiful contribution to the world. When I am creating art I focus on my feelings at the present moment or feelings that I’d wish to feel in the future; when I do this my art means more, and is a reflection of me. As a result of this class I think that I have a better chance of getting a job with a newspaper or anything in the photography field. The knowledge that I’ve gained in this class is definitely going to be put to good use when I am in college as well as when I have a permanent job. I think it is important to understand how to read and take photographs because our culture is more technically advanced now.
